i have been so physically and mentally drained this week so i decided to share a few tips on how to be happy since i will be using a few of these to help me ‘recover’ over the weekend :)! i really hope that you enjoy this post…
tip 1: get a good amount of sleep ~ aha, i seriously need to catch up on my sleep! for the obvious reason, this tip is definitely one to follow! an extra hour of sleep can make a big difference and you will instantly feel more refreshed and awake :).
tip 2: pamper yourself ~ homework can get to my head sometimes and i start to feel tense. finding time for myself can be challenging but when i do, it is pure bliss <3! a nice warm bath is sure to solve your problems since it has that effect on me ;)!
tip 3: have a positive outlook on life ~ completely rid your mind of negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones! the more you encourage yourself, the more you will achieve. try to be as optimistic as you can and you will start to see a difference in your attitude towards life. besides, a mistake is a learning opportunity… take it :)!
tip 4: be comfortable in your own skin ~ with social media comes a heavy burden… comparison. just remember that you are perfect the way you are and the only person who can do you best is you! appreciate your flaws since they are the wonderful things that make us different and beautiful <3! take a flower as an example, it does not compete with the flower next to it, it simply blooms ;)!
tip 5: spend time with family and friends ~ when life gets overwhelming, spending time with those who inspire you is the perfect solution! talking to someone about your problems will instantly make you feel better since and it will feel as if a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
tip 6: eat healthy ~ it may be hard however, it will make a difference! you will feel so proud of yourself and it will not be a goal anymore, it will become a way of living :)! buy things like naked juices, yogurt, nuts, plain popcorn and fruits so that it will be easy to make food swaps!
tip 7: live in the moment ~ appreciate all the little joys in life because time does not wait for anyone! every second, every minute, every hour… be grateful for them all. life is short so live it to the fullest :)! you can have a no-screens day, visit the park, read a book; the possibilities are endless!
tip 8: exercise regularly ~ exercising at least 3-4 times each week will benefit you in many ways. it will ache at first but as you do it more often, you will feel better physically and mentally <3!
